You don't get it. It is not about shunning. It is about pleasing God.
You do whatever you can get away with, Alan. This is an anonymous forum, so you are here. You know it isn't anonymous in the eyes of God, so you either a) feel that the WTS is wrong and having words with apostates is fine and dandy in God's eyes, or b) don't give a hoot about what God sees but know that your activities are hidden from the congregation and that is what truly matters to you.
Either way, it shows what kind of a JW you are.
