Do you have any children Alan?
I have two. Since we left the org. we can, if we like, celebrate holidays, birthdays, etc.
The smiles on their faces are what it is all about. They love giving, having fun, seeing their relatives, and being free to do that. The bottom line is they really enjoy it. It makes them smile, and it makes them happy. If they are happy, so am I.
Now how many happy children do you see being forced to go door to door? How many smiles do you see at meetings? How many kids enjoy going to the back room because they fell asleep at the meeting?
I can remember kids having fits because they had to go out in car groups. They refused to go to the doors. Check out the looks on their faces when they come to the hall. Are they really happy?
Come on Alan, having fun doesn't consist of sitting through 5 meetings a week at the hall. It doesn't consist of getting your 10 hours in when you are still 5 years old. Fun isn't going to the back room to get your butt spanked for falling asleep. Fun isn't watching all the other kids at school have parties, and such while you sit in the hall.
Admit it Alan, fun is something the society really doesn't understand!
ANDY: who thiks fun is seeing the smiles on my childrens faces!
