The things you memtioned reminded me the things I saw change.
Like you I saw the clique's, if you didn't get into one you just didn't fit. The more, more, more theroy was one I hated. Seems like one can never do enough. People were always asking me how many hours I got that month. When are you going out in service, how many magazines did you place, etc.
I saw children being punished in the back room for simply falling asleep at the meetings. I saw elders, MS, and their families doing things that weren't christian, yet nobody said anything. Kind of like diplomatic imunity I guess.
I saw the shunning policy first hand, and how it split up families. I saw cheating on time sheets, cheating on income taxes, I saw hypocrisy at its best.
I saw alcohol abuse, abuse of prescription drugs, people trying to heal others with weird drinks, massages, and laying on of the hands.
It just got to be to much. When I questioned this, I was the one who lost priveledges, I was the one people marked as bad influence, I was the one who became the criminal.
Yes, things do change once you become babtized.
