This is the problem, the grand majority do NOT know and WILL NEVER FIND OUT the original history of the Organization. Reasons being the society keeps them so busy they do not have time to have any thoughts of their own. If they do they are quickly knowked into place and they can not read material that questions JW's beliefs. However many are doing so privately on the internet, thus the 4 page KM article on staying off the internet which the majority are falling into place with. It doesn't send up the red flag like it should. If your faith is so solid that you should be able to give a defence to it then being on the internet shouldn't be a problem.
One of the first conclusions that I came to when researching was that the "foundation" of the Society was based on paganism and the occult and that the leaders themselves had extreme faults that were on-going and uncorrected (drinking, wifebeating etc.). The Scriptures tell you that the foudation has to be solid and this foundation was indeed weak. Then my research went on to other things and then to other things. The more I read the worse it got and I was only trying to prove that my precious Organization that I had given all to, was true. It was hard to take and at times still is. It is hard to think you are all locked up in security and all is okay and you have all the answers and then to find out you are out in the cold. Also a reason some don't research, they know there is a possibility of them having the wrong Organization and they don't WANT to know.
