Because your faith is in the WTBTS and NOT the Bible. Your don't believe the Bible, - you believe what the WTBTS says the Bible says. So we have to attack the focus of your faith. The Bible is the Truth and cannot be attacked. Just bear in mind that the NWT is NOT the Bible.
