A family member of mine was the one that got me to research my faith about 4 years ago. (She was an "apostate" in the family but I still talked with her casuse I loved her.) I found this board sortly after it came on in my research. I lurked for a very long time. I couldn't believe what was being said but any link given I followed it. Any comment that I needed to prove right or wrong I went on the search engine. This led me to soooo many places that I almost fried my limited JW brain. As a JW I never really did much thinking and growing up in my family no one ever talked about anything in depth, so it was very hard on me to start thinking and connecting new brain pathways.
I finally did get the courage to come on and I did try to defend the "Truth" but over time I just couldn't do it. I kept researching and bookmarking so much my husband was yelling at me and had to get more memory.
Any JW"s here, lurking or otherwise, REALLY needs to research all that is said to find out what the facts really are. And I can tell you right now you will have some problems with what you will find. If you can reconcile these things somehow with the "Truth" you are doing better than most of us.
As far as the regular "defenders" of the "Truth" it does give the board some ? ? (words escape me)
