As you might imagine, the question has already been put to this fellow about contacting Ray Franz. Now again, he has seen you post here, but has not had time today to respond to posts. I had a brief message from him saying I could tell what he has explained to me previously in private e-mail on the question of contacting Ray.
1) He understands that Ray and Cynthia have made a decent life for themselves now and are happy. He does not want to involve Ray in his problems and possibly bring up old pains.
2) He anticipates that an inquisition of the Governing Body members which might result from this episode would most surely involve the question, have any of them (GB members) had any contact with Raymond Franz. He does not want to be placed in the predicament of having to lie about it.
I/we are making some effort to verify his position without revealing his identity via some individual(s) who were intimately acquainted with the GB members a few years ago. Hopefully, I'll be able to explain more about that soon. But if not, here's my OPINION in the matter:
If we're not able to establish proof of his position without divulging his identity, perhaps we should just accept him as a JW reformist using GB as his moniker--like a lot of others have done on H2O with handles like CO, DO, et.al.--and let him discuss the WT issues with us and just benefit from that. He does seem knowledgeable about a lot of the WT stuff. Unless he makes some other outlandish claims or requests that could have adverse affects (like soliciting volunteer work or money or whatever like the televangelists do)--in other words as long as its otherwise harmless--why do we care? Just my opinion. Maybe you have other ideas.
