U know, it was the same thing for me almost. They came to me at a time of my life when I was feeling pretty down and I wanted something I could hold on to. They were always so nice and that kinda made me not want to dissapoint them. I think most ppl know it's a lot of bull when they start studying, it's just the ppl are so nice, it's a great escape from the world if you don't like it, and you actually feel bad if you let those ppl down. What finally drove me away was the fact that they were lying so much, intentionally or unintentionally. Most they did not know themselves, but the elders were supposed to know and they lied through their teeth. I sometimes had to rephrase a question three times before they finally gave in and I often cought them lying like that.

I to wanted this to be true. I read the bible a lot and sometimes I read some verse I just stumbled on and ohhmygod, it described something in my life so well :)etc...

I'm pretty convinced that faith has nothing at all to do with being a witness today. Maybe it did BI (before internet) but those who are still in this cult know the facts. No-way that anyone under 50 hasn't peeked at an apostate site, just to see what the fuzz is about so I'm pretty sure they know. If they don't know, I wonder what kinda force is holding them back...must be that mind control thing ?

Kinda makes me sad knowing that life is such a sh*tty thing for so many ppl that they have to fake their religion and obey always-changing rules just to get comfort :(

B
