JW's would do well, IMHO, to be less territorial and possessive of material things. I realize that sounds like a judgment on my part. I lived in a congregation of very materialistic people who seemed to be on spending sprees to keep up with each other. Then they tried to out diet each other, calling overweight ones "gluttons."
My advice to the person who feels so attached to the building. Buildings do not last forever. I assume that even if the New System is truth, that the laws of physics will still apply and that building will not be standing eventually.
Don't love something that can't love you back. Put your faith in God. Pray. Love your family and friends. Don't love a building.
