Hi Al,

Per your request for references in Biblical chronology.....

SUPPLEMENT - PART 3

Just a quickie regarding these two texts.

The whole idea of both of these documents was to hide references to the original chronology after the conspiracy. This was done when they found similar astronomical phenomena between the revised date and the original date.

In the case of the VAT4956, there was a match-up via the lunisolar calendar since the 511 and 568BCE are 57 years apart, which is 3x19. Thus the lunar positions were similar and fell on the same days of the solar year. But it wasn't exactly the same, there were several hours difference though on the same dates. So that difference is what differentiates 511BCE from 568BCE. But to the casual reader, it just seems like an "error" for the the previous day. Since there is more than one "error" though and they match another specific year, it is obvious the references are intentional.

In the case of the SK400, it is a little more complex. In this case they found similar eclipses 18 years apart in 541BCE and 523BCE which were both "YEAR 7" of Neo-Babylonian/Persian kings. That is 541BCE was the original "Year 7" for Nebuchadnezzar and 523BCE was the revised "Year 7" for Kambyses. So under a document dated with events for "Year 7" without specifically mentioning the king's name on the text ("Kambyses name is not on this document), then you have a choice to match up which king's "Year 7" belongs to which date.

The eclipses were almost identical except for the interval between them. You see, almost identical eclipses happen every 18 years. But in this series they graduated two hours apart. So in 541BCE the interval was 2:45, in 523 4:46, then 6:38 etc. So by giving the specific times of night the eclipses occurred, though the dates and the intensities (50% partial followed by total) were exactly the same, the intervals were 2 hours apart. The interval in the text was 2:46, of course, matching exactly 541BCE for "Year 7". The interval for 523BCE was 4:46 so it is a no-match for 523BCE, Year 7 of Kambyses.

That's why the WTS' inclusion of this reference as a match for 523BCE is incompetent and wrong. 541BCE is the only critical match in 1000 years (0 to 1000 B.C.) And, of course, matched to the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II, it is no mistake or coincidence since that was the original dating for you year 7, consistent with his 19th year falling in 529BCE, the year the Bible dates the fall of Jerusalem.

Again, when Jesus appears in 29CE there are only 483 years from then to the beginning of the time when the prophecy started which began when the Jews began to rebuild Jerusalem in the month of the Festival of Booths (which is when Jesus appears, in the fall), and that is the 1st of Cyrus in 455BCE.

From Josephus and scripture we learn that the 70-year exile began in the 23rd year, which would be 525BCE and thus the 19th year, 4 years earlier, must fall in 529BCE. So that is the Biblically-correct dating for the fall of Jerusalem.

Now we have two texts from the Seleucid Period which confirm that dating, and since they also contain references to another chronology, we know the 568BCE and 523BCE references are revised, fake dates.

So there you have it.

At this point, we are at the point of no return as far as dating the fall of Jerusalem in any other year other than 529BCE. There is nothing... NOTHING that can change that now. And that's the way it is now. The Bible is absolutely a true book of history and chronology.

Believe this. Know this.

Cheers,
Bibleman
