Great Report!
What about judges and lawyers who are handling court ordered transfusions for minors? Wouldn't it be helpful if they could "hear the other side of the story"? Many of those situations seem so over dramatized with the JW'S screaming religious persecution and the media coverage so ignorant that another side of the story even exists. But more important, having AJWRB info might allay any apprehensions they may have in ruling against one's "religious convictions".
Since cyberspace has built the case, I can't help wondering why a class action suit has not been filed...every civil right has been violated; civil rights that the WTBTS fought all the way to the Supreme Court to win for themselves knowing full well as an organization they would deny the same rights to its members. I don't know about others, but I did not become a JW with FULLY INFORMED CONSENT. It was after my former life and my former psychology had been completely dismantled that I realized the organization was not at all what I had been led to believe it stood for. And then it was an agonizing extrication.
Another thing I find very curious, is why haven't ex-jw's, enmasse, deluged the media, namely the dozens of news shows like 20/20 and Dateline as well as the talk shows. There are thousands of us now, all with heart wrenching "war" stories, and we need a voice. Our side must be told. and not just some random ranter hitting the talk show circuit every couple of years, we need a "town hall meeting" format moderated by a Ted Kopel or a Dan Rathers...someone of that breed.
It will happen in due time because so many are thinking along the same lines.
Anyway, it's great to hear your report and know that so many are taking action.
