it doers not apply and esp to churches
in the USA that would fall in the area of separation of church and state
as i mentioned the society lawyer told us that the USA courts have been very wary of getting involved in chruch matters,
as he put it in one case he served on the judge said to the DFed person
"Who do you think i am some schoool teacher
Mrs Johnson make Joohnny speak to me"
it involved DFing and how jw don't speak to dfed jw
the judge expressed the veiw that just becasue you don't want to go to chruch and your uncle decides not to speak to you for not going , you want me to make him speak to you
so the shunning stuff has never played well for any dfed person here in the usa.
when the society is contacted by the local bro a about a matter there are so many times
right to preach , etc cases where the local county is sent a 30lb box of all the case law and pass cases that involved the same thing they are about to engage in and it just frightens away the avg local county lawyer esp after he see all the case
law the society is sending him from across the country.
so the society has a very good lega team i know 3 of the lawyers personlly
we had one down to give a talk about 2yrs ago did a sat night program spent almost 1 1/2 on legal cases the society had been involved in over the yrs
so they know thier stuff and of course they are free to lie as well
that Theocratic War stuff
