Jesus came to my house today and I didn't know what to do,
He came unexpectedly, to stay a day or two.
I gave him my room, for it was my very best,
And I made him comfortable so that he could rest.
I cooked up all my favorite foods so his tummy would be full,
I laid out the best china, no stops did I try to pull.
I said turn on the TV see what you can find,
Or get on the computer, for there is plenty on there to fill your mind.
You can turn on the radio, and hear the music rock,
Or we could just sit awhile, have coffee and we could talk.
He spoke not a single word, as he turned to leave,
For my home was not a place unto which he could cleave.
So he left and I was so ashamed to think what I had done.
I never even respected the fact that he was God's son.
He didn't want to sleep in my bed, be comfortable and rest,
He had no need for fancy foods or what I called my best.
He didn't want to watch TV, or e-mail, which I love,
He has direct contact with Jehovah God above.
No he only came to see how spiritually strong I had grown,
And if I was studying ,but there was nothing he could condone.
So he left, without speaking a single word to me,
He may be on his way to your house, to take a look and see,
What will he find when he arrives, so handsome and so tall,
Will you greet him like I did or like the Apostle Paul?
Please invite him to the meeting , and take him door to door,
Show him we are serving him from the sea ,down to the shore.
This is what will refresh his spirit and fill his tummy with love,
Be wiser than me, and you will see, your heavenly father above.
