I don't know what you mean about looking for the "door", but the event would have been UNHEARLED!
The JIOR, who meet the Messiah in private and in the "clouds" that is, in a clouded manner indirectly, do not announce to the world who they are or who the Messiah is. It's all done in total secret.
Reminder: The Messiah must come as a thief. His coming does not occur with "great observableness". He only appears to his followers at first. And the only ones who get to see him are the ones who understood he was actually coming in the flesh.
So it was important to pay close attention to scripture.
So essentially, if you really relied upon the Bible, based upon Jesus appearing in 29CE, you would have figured out that Cyrus' 1st year had to occur in 455BCE or thereabouts and that Jerusalem must have fallen in 529BCE. And if you understood that in the early 1900s, as some must have, and applied the 2520 years to that dating, you would have known in advance that the Messiah was not expected until around 1992.
Furthermore, since you would have read that the Messiah only appears to his disciples in the clouds and that the woman herself becomes a secret organization by flying into the wilderness, then you would have had to understand that you must create a secret organization in order to be received by the Messiah.
So those that did this, when the Messiah finally appeared in the flesh, they got the official HEARLD from Heaven by seeing the sign of the son of man appear in symbols in the clouds, that is, cloud art representing the advent of the birth of the new kingdom.
Now as far as the 'ten virgins' class goes, those anointed remnant associated with Jehovah's witnesses, there would be a public hearld or announcement regarding the Messiah's arrival, but that would not be from any JIOR members but only from the Messiah himself. That was done by an announcement on the internet.
Even so, only the "wise virgins" would have enough oil, that is, enough spiritual light and Biblical focus to actually recognize the truth about the Messiah's Second Coming in the flesh as the Prodigal Son and be able to then cross over into the spiritual JIOR.
But this is the symbolic "door" that they would be opening to the Messiah. It is a personal acceptance of the truth about him and allowing the anointing of holy spirit. This is the symbolic knock on the door that one must be awake in order to hear in order to symbolically let the Messiah in.
Also realize, because of the secrecy of all this, and this not being seen by the dragon, his actual arrival would not be understood by most Christians, many of whom were not expecting him in the flesh and had the idea that they would be taken to heaven when he comes. Which is a nice fantasy, but just that.
Christ takes his bride to heaven after the millennium and Judgment Day is over. In the meantime, Christ and the 144,000 remain on the earth for the millennium.
That's the arrangement.
