Charity will be rewarding, I'm sure. And lots of people will respond just to your love. By being charital, you show that God is a loving God. It gives people hope.
Certainly the motives of many to help their fellow man are genuine and God smiles on this.
Live Music:
This is a strange area for the WTS. They are so bent on not creating any "creature worship" or drawing attention to individual members, they are afraid to have a rehearsed choir or orchestra which some might enjoy. Of note, though, the temple arrangement had a choir and when Jesus was born the angels sang. So music is definitely a spiritual thing.
But I suppose there is no much interest in learning and knowledge and preaching, they don't want to spend one second doing anything else that is not directly related to that. And perhaps that's okay because of their specific mission. Enough others are "making music in their hearts" to enjoy.
I think attendance is off though because people are starting to feel the emptiness. Too many people are waking up, and even if they are still searching and are still lost, they know the WTS is not the promised "Ark". So they are leaving, just as many did after 1975.
cheers,
