Happy Birthday, Beaver! I am not an xjw, but my mother-in-law is a pioneer, so I think I know a little bit about what you are saying. When my daughters were small we would have parties for them, and of course she would refuse to come. I remember one year the week after our daughter's party, she went to an adult party where there was a live band and a cash bar. I thought to myself there is something wrong with a religion that would think it wrong to attend a harmless child's b-day party, but ok to go out and drink and dance the night away. What kind of a God do they worship anyway?
