Well, I don't have a degree in history, though probably some colleges might grant me some credits in certain specialized areas.
But I do have a "gift" for research. I can go to a university library early in the morning and become completely absorbed with books all day long until nighttime, becoming annoyed I have to be interrupted with such things as "lunch". And I sort have been a full-time student for the past seven years.
Beyond that, of course, I've been a witness all my life, so there is a lot of research via the WTS that I've become aware of. We used to get books like "Babylon the Great Has Fallen" that had lots of very detailed history, etc.
So I'd say it was accummulated over time, but very focussed on the Neo-Babylonian and Persian and Classical Greek periods.

I'm sorry you are having problems following some of my posts. I purposely try to be redundant, which I know must be boring. But somewhere among the words I try to make one simple statement.
In this case the simple statement is that the "end of the system of things" mentioned at Matthew 24 is NOT Armageddon or the end of the world as the WTS and witnesses commonly believe, but it is the "end of the system of things" of the "appointed times of the nations." The END, therefore, occurs when the Messiah arrives.
So in case you didn't catch it. The END has already occurred. It occurred in 1992, 2520 years after the fall of Jerusalem in 529BCE.
So the END is over.
Jesus said the END would come before that generation ran out and it did.
Of course, the WTS who do not understand this, saw 1994 come and go and they are still expecting the "end" to fulfill the "last generation" remarks by Jesus. So they haven't got a clue.
Anyway, my only point was that the "END of the system of things" has already occurred and it does not refer to Armageddon or the end of the world.
Take care.
Cheers,
