You're right, many people in here and on the internet in general fall into the "snob" category. The majority of internet users according to a survey I heard on the news recently are white middle to upper-middle class on up to rich men from the developed western nations. I don't know if this is true or not, but it would explain the snobbery I've seen expressed (such as the constant janitor and window washer university jokes) from those who probably cannot fathom the concept of poverty -- or they could care less. Although I was raised in an upper-middle class household, excelled in school and got a higher education, and is a "computer geek" who can afford to own a home in a middle class suburb in the U.S. (but is caught in a seemingly endless bill paying paycheck-to-paycheck cycle), I feel badly for the poor. I long to see Jehovah "terraform" the entire planet Earth into a bountiful paradise, where even the poorest street urchin in Bangladesh enjoys the dream of immortality on a beautiful estate of land of his own design, and reaches for the stars both figuratively in his passion for spiritual growth, and literally in his quest to explore his Heavenly Father's Estate.
