Dear G.B.M.,

Upon review of your latest letters to this forum, I've seen several things within that has sparked my interest in whether you are whom you claim to be. It would be in my understanding that any long term member of the governing body in Bethel would have become quite comfortable in their day to day life. Every necessity is taken care of. Every need met. Who would want to lose that? Along with the attitude that stems from having a large group of people believing in you, that you are "the chosen ones". From this a certain mental mentality will form that I've seen manifested within your messages to a degree. This is the only reason I have decided to send any sort of letter to this group.

It would be too redundant to reply to every point you've said specifically, and truly unnecessary on my part. The reason for writing is to mention something's that have weighed on my mind for many years, from us you've asked that we maintain a open mind, so it would be fair to ask the same in return from you.

I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness and only recently left of my own accord. I have not been disfellowshipped nor dissociated myself from the organization. From early in my teachings I never excepted what I was given in "spiritual food" the answers to my questions were weak and sloppy. This is of no fault to my parents who taught me well and honestly as they were taught from the organization. From the years I spent leaving within the flock I've seen almost all things in the spectrum taking place.

Many of the issues that are important to me, others on this discussion forum have brought up. I would like to add to this. Firstly, has it ever been researched in earnest that the bible is based in Jewish mythology. That the stories were used to interpret god in their (Jewish) world. That it is possible that what we've been taught as "truth" is nothing more than stories of mythology?

Secondly, I have heard it mentioned that the founders of the organization who interpreted the bible did not really know the languages that they were taking the text from. Hebrew, Greek, Latin. Would it not be in the best interest in the organization to have people re-review the text in its original setting? People who can actually read and comprehend?

Thirdly, Russell himself, what was up with him? His belief's and practices in gaining insight on topics about "when the end would come" "specific dates of importance"...etc, the list is long. Is it possible that the founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses was in fact a pagan in his idea's and teachings.

My thought is that there is no ruling class. That those with you in the governing body are no different then the average person on the street. You are simply men. The belief that you are "special" and of the "anointed class" is nothing more than your own misconceived doctrine.

It would be my wish to see "matters settled" but to do so would bring down the very towers that you claim to watch from.

RAVEN
