Thanks, Liberty. I apologize for putting you through this kind of trouble. It's been about, what... Over 2 weeks since I made that initial post?

First of all, yes, I did say some things for the mere shock value. I don't disrespect things which are held as venerable, but I also believe that freedom is something which is innate, and that it cannot be guaranteed by pieces of paper. In fact, any written code that binds future generations is actually enforcing rather than freeing. Anyhow, what makes you think a ruler or despot is going to respect something written on paper? Hitler disregarded the Treaty of Versailles... I'm sure you've noticed how many people abuse or completely disregard the Consitution. My point is, it's better NOT to believe that your freedom is guaranteed by an antique document. Rather, you should believe that you're a free individual regardless of whether Big Brother likes it or not. ;o)

Another peeve of mine is voting... Sure, people have the right to do it, but the way I see it, voting is actually admitting your weakness to the current government rather then showing power. I'm also not too fond of keeping fat-arsed bureaucrats in office who do nothing but stuff their faces and tyrannize me... Besides, most Americans already do a good enough job of it, so why help them? Are we really dumb enough that we need schmucks and parasitic politicians (a synonym if I ever did hear one) to do our thinking for us?

I certainly hope you don't think so...

I apologize if my earlier post sounded harsh, but I can't help but get the impression Libertarians are pushing Big Brother "Lite". My credo is: The only good government is NO government.

In other words, I don't consider Libertarians as my allies, but I don't consider them my mortal enemies, either. Don't get me wrong... You're certainly one of the more civil and level-headed Libertarians I've met, and your beliefs certainly are honorable... I just think that they're too "middle ground" for my tastes. We do have two common grounds, Liberty. We're both Capitalists, and we're more or less believers in individuality. I just take the individuality part of it a step further... :o)
