Take heart, I feel you are doing the right thing. Let's take it all on face value at them moment. Let's help this GB member all we can. Be supportive - if it turns out he's not whom he says he is, we've lost nothing. If he is whom he says he is, then let's hope and pray more good can come out of it. I for one would certainly welcome changes for the good.
About reform, I'm really not sure if this organisation is reformable? Even if they did drop their position on the blood, shunning etc., there are still those "hard-liner" individuals that won't budge. If, and this is a big if... they did change their policies, then this organised religion would really be no different from any mainstream religion of today. The Watchtower have always prided themselves as being "different" from "worldly" religions. Can you see the org. filtering in as just another religion? I'm not so sure about this one.
As far as you taking the "heat" - well, I wouldn't worry too much about that.. many are here to support you.
