My friend isn't DFed, so there's no big conflict. But my friend did tell me that they conversed about how things would change in their relationship. Hopefully it won't affect business at all.

The old friend is a pretty cool JW who I used to hang out with quite often myself. He is known for being very personable, very level-headed, very compassionate, very outgoing and sociable (one of those guys who everyone asks to oversee their wedding, for example), very available to help anyone in need. I saw him last a little over a year ago, and he shook my hand firmly, looked me square in the eye, and said, "Good to see you!" To which I replied, "Good to be seen!" He's one of those guys who genuinely cares about other people, and will make the effort to do what he can for you. He even contacts my DFed friend once in a while to see what's up.
Sure, he could probably get in trouble (he's a ministerial servant besides). But who's gonna tell on him? And besides, I think he'd be very sympathetic to reform efforts, if he knew about them. Maybe he even does and he participates on H2O! That'd be interesting, although I'm sure he'd have identified me by now.
