Jesus is the one who knows whether you are repentant or not, and he will welcome you back into his love as soon as you ask him--he will not make you wait one month or one year!
Read the parable of the prodigal son--Did the father make him beg forgiveness--did the father take him on as a "slave" for a year or so to see if he showed "true repentance"--If you have given up your sin (whatever it was) and asked Jehovah for forgiveness, then you are forgiven at that moment in time! This is truly supported by the scriptures.
