:WHOA.. Pete Rose's gambling conviction is being compared to having God's approval???
Nooooo. If you read it, you would have seen my point that there was no proof of badnes so no apology is due regardless of the inferences.
But you, like all other apostates, don't read.
:You stated that reporting time was voluntary. What world are you living in??
It is voluntary. One does not have to report one's time. One just should report that one is a publisher.
:Christians don't follow dates??? Wow!!! We agree on something here.. I wish you'd have been around to told Russell that in 1874, 1875 & 1914. Or, maybe even Rutherford who
taught that 1918& 1919 carried more significance that 1914. The Judge could have used your insight when the "Ancient worthies of old" didn't receive their resurrection in 1925. Where
have you been "OLE insightful one?" The Society needed your input prior to 1975. You could have saved the world a lot of grief had you published your thoughts before now!!!
However, I don't fault them for looking to dates. Many other religions have done that. Baptists are guilty of that too.
:The Society has never claimed to be inspired???? WOW!!!!
Then why did the Bethel speaker specificly state that?
What was missing? Missing was the full measure of evidence required in fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Missing from such people were God's truths and the evidence that he was guiding
and using them."
That does not mean that they were inspired.
:THE EVIDENCE IS PLAIN ISN'T IT???
What evidence?
1. Light 2, 1930, pg 47,.... prediction made by Jehovah’s true prophets...
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
2. Wt,1/15/59,pg40,41, Whom has God actually used as his prophet?...Jehovah’s Witnesses are deeply grateful today that the plain facts show that God has been pleased to use them.
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
3. Wt,4/1/72,pg197, Who is this prophet?..Today they are known as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
4. Wt,10/1/82,pg27, .....”prophet” class yet on earth. The “war of the great day of God the Almighty” at Har-Magedon could not start before this composite “prophet” ends his work.
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
5. Aw,6,8,86,pg9,....all of whom are prophets, or witnesses for God. In fact, they are known throughout the world as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
:THE TRUE STATEMENT WOULD BE THEY WERE NEVER INSPIRED
And all of us agree. and they do too.
They never said they were inspired. And if you bothered to read the context, you would understand that they were God's prophet in that they were using his prophetic word.
1. The Nations shall know 1971,pg58-62, ....as a mouthpiece and active agent......commission to speak as a prophet in the name of Jehovah...
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
Being a prophet doesn't mean they were inspired.
2. Wt,3/15/72,pg189,....commission to speak as a “prophet” in His name.......
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
3. Wt,9/1/79,pg29,...those of the Jeremiah class have been sent by Jehovah to speak in his
name......back up their message by quoting the words, “ This is what Jehovah has said.”
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
WANT MORE?? OK!!!
Doesn't mean they were inspired.
