It isn't the visiting of an apostate site that bothers me about this.
The majority of GB members as well as Branch Committee members (Even moreso their wives) feel they are above the rules given to the rank and file Witnesses.
Whether it be Bethel rules (Requisition filling etc) or anything else. Bethel Lawyers feel the rules about apostate literature doesn't apply to them. Franz's books as well as Bergman's being part of their library.
So visiting an Internet apostate is not that far of a leap IMHO.
My problem is that his message doesn't ring true. the tone, content point of view is so inconsistent that it cannot help but raise suspicions in me. I know most (except for 3 of the newer members) of the Boys and of the ones who have expressed distain for decisions none would ever speak or write in this manner.
I am not saying it isn't possible but I am not holding my breathe. If it is a hoax orchestrated by the likes of Gary or anyone else they will receive their due.
Either way I think it is enlightening to see how hopeful the X-JW's are in the possibility of changes within the Org. I am interested in why "we" (collective) want to believe this so badly? What difference will it make for us? Is it ourt of happiness for those still in the org or for ourselves?
