Dear Brother

I am still not entirely sure of how to view this, but I do wish and pray with all my heart that you are who you claim to be and that your intentions and resolve are what you state.

In saying that I mean no disrespect, but I have been one of Jehovah's Witnesses long enough (25
years) to know the pressure of conformity and the price of independant action.

I would strongly like to echo the words of brothers like LE and ask you to be cautious and consider the extent to which you may effect the greatest good in the time you have left here on earth.

For you to go out in a blaze of glory / ignomy may cause tremendous sensation and even upheaval, but might not bring about as much lasting good as you could by getting changes made to the blood laws of the society and changes to the views on 1914 / 607 and the shunning doctrine which destroys so many families EVERY DAY.

Many ostensible changes in attitude seem to be forthcoming from Brooklyn - changes which move focus away from chronology and serving with a date in mind, but the dates remain. Changes which speak of the exercise of free Christian conscience, yet the elders stipulate exactly how that conscience must be used. Changes which state (as a recent Awake did) that blood is nothing but an organ transplant, yet the repressive laws and the old 'eating blood' perceptions pervade.

What I am saying is that the beginnings are there - the time is now for these to be built upon and change to be accelerated before the whole system of religion that Jehovah's Witnesses is completely ravaged by persons leaving, by exposure in a world where knowledge and information is become available at breathtaking pace.

Change will happen to this organization, one way or another. I pray that you can bring about good change.

I wish you our Lord Jehovah's blessing and guidance and look forward with sincere heart to seeing what will transpire.

A lowly brother, but a servant of Christ
Sincere
