In Rutherford's "Declaration" he confirmed the Jews controlled the British empire.
And when you try to allow a reasonable distancing from Freemasonry for Russell in particular, it is extremely difficult to do. I would have expected something a little more subtle but the Watchtower covers and other publications sport well-known Freemasonry symbolism and it is known that Russell was totally into pyramidology, even linking 1914 to it. Then he had a pyramid with the Freemasonry pryamid with the all-seeing eye put on his grave.
How can we ignore all of this? Or I should say, can be blame anybody else for being skeptical?
The other suspicious thing is that persons in the mystery cult understand their own cultic symbolisms so they would have automatically known that "Song of Solomon" was talking about Artemis.
So Rutherford's inclusion of a commentary on that book in the "7th Volume" would certainly lead me to believe he was involved in some form of Freemasonry and mystery cult. Plus the symbolism of the goddess' breasts as towers on a wall was a Watchtower cover concept for years. I hardly think that is accidental.
So my impression is that the organization is heavily infiltrated by Freemasons or some form of the mysteries cults, using the organization as a front. It cetainly would explain Revelation's command to "get out of her my people".
Other commentators such as Springmier are even more direct than that, claiming the WTS are closely linked with the "Illuminati" even and other splinter Satanic groups.
I wonder.
