Funny you mention this. Yesterday an ex-dub friend of mine told me how an old dub friend called him up for the first time in a couple of years. Now, my friend owns a car dealership and employees a fellow who grew up JW but quit about 10 or so years ago simply for "the world."
This guy has recently decided to go back to the JWs because he's tried the world, and has decided he wants to go back to where everyone loves each other and everything feels all warm and cuddly. Which is OK (except he'll have to lose the earrings, and the three girlfriends, which, again, to me is a good move)).
But the relevant part of this story is, my friend told the JW-once-friend that his employee was "going back to the religion." The JW replied, "Well, some people call it The Truth." To my friends credit, he replied, "Well, I don't."
