Gday Friends,

I'm a silent partner six months absentia from h2o (who forgot her secret posting code). Mine is a vested interest of over four decades in the organisation. I kid you not! Thank you Rick for keeping this place safely aloft! :)

I was reading the archives to see what I missed. The archives are a treasure trove of insights. Go down to the bottom of the board to read them yourselves. I found an archived post describing more accurately than I have ever read on h2o the contrast between the organisation's past and present condition written by Tobor (March 2, 1999).

May I share it? It is worth reading.

The Silence That Screams

Posted by tobor on March 02, 1999 at 10:05:44 {MWfPLG5L29fHA}:

Once upon a time, Pastor Russell "took on all comers".
He fought in public debates, answered objections,
answered questions from an audience unrehearsed.
For years afterward, the Society published "Questions
From Readers" in every WT. They reacted quickly and
forthrightly to accusations and challenges from
opposers - in print, point by point. They even earned
a reputation for being "reactionary" by their frequent
responses to the charges made by those "outside".
BUT I SPEAK OF THE PAST!

Now little or nothing is said or published - critical
doctrines go undefended - except occasionally by
individuals who are "unofficial" (You know?).
It's like an
infection with "spiritual AIDS" - an enfeebled
immune system that can't fight anylonger.
It is more than any thing else proof of decay,
and a "dead hand at the switch".
IT IS THE SILENCE THAT SCREAMS.
