Interesting comments.

But I believe you're right. Satan certainly wanted to put God on the spot. I think he had a death wish for himself but didn't want to go alone so he planned this for a long time while Adam was alone and then when Eve was still psychologically too young to know the difference, got her to eat of the fruit of the tree of Knowledge and getting Adam to do the same, thus in the process killing billions of potential humans in one fell swoop.

But there is another angle to all this. Some think it was just Adam and Eve who were being tested, but actually the physical universe, which permits ACTION allowed Jehovah to test everyone in the universe. That is, the angels basically have to come down to the earth to "do" anything, to "sin", beyond just directly rebelling against God and joining Satan. So the test of the forbidden fruit was also a test of Satan as well. Before, in heaven, it was just a matter of "debate" and legal argument, with little consequence. The PHYSICAL UNIVERSE provided a means to "act" out intention.
So Satan and the spirit world were also tested by that tree. Satan didn't pass that test. Jesus did.

As far as the new research in the aging process goes, it makes me wonder if this is being prepared for those who survive Armageddon since allegedly they will have to have extended life, but not eternal life as do the anointed who are part of the first resurrection. I don't see why some actual medical advancement available wouldn't temporarily extend the aging process for survivors of Armageddon and their children. Though in lieu of an actual medical treatment it would seem the extension of life would have to be miraculous.

Interesting information, and food for thought. Thanks.

Cheers,
Bibleman
