The only thing I have validated thus far is that Russell indeed had Jewish roots. I don't know about Rutherford's. Their families were also connected in some way as well.
It's very suspicious when you think the WTS is so (well, I don't want to say anti-Semitic, let's say..) "spiritual Israeli-centric" so as not to recognize the natural Jews in fulfillment of any modern Bible prophesies now, in contrast to before when Russell was quite Judeo-centric, even calling the Watchtower "ZION'S Watchtower." The older publications, of course, show the Jews return to Palestine to have significance for the Second Coming, etc. But there is no mention of it now.
In the context of who Russell was supposed to be, an "anointed" Christian, his focus on pyramidology is simply too strange. And this went right up until his death with a pyramid at his gravesite. Certainly, he was playing both sides of the same fence.
Bible prophecy, of course, suggests that the organization would be infiltrate by some form of the "mysteries" cult since the particular type of "weed" was very similar to wheat. In addition, a hallucinogin from "ergot of wheat" was thought to be part of the Eleusinian mysteries. There may be some suggestion that the infiltration by the "weeds" into the temple organization (JWs) would be in the form of some versio of the mysteries cult, such as Freemasonry.
The influence of the mystery cults in some form, of course, is also prophesied in that Babylon, the Great represents some form the mystery cult influence over the U.N.
Of note, this vision of Babylon the Great, the great "mystery" is a vision in the "wilderness" which is symbolic of secret, underground operation, and the destruction of Babylon the Great by the U.N. has the most effect on merchants, suggesting her influence is primarily control of secret finances. Of course, plenty of propaganda linking the alleged "Illuminati" with Freemasonry and ancient mysteries.
So it all kind of fits together when you see the Freemasonry links by Russel and Rutherford as represented right on the covers of the Watchtower (crown and cross, Knights of templar emblem) and their "Studies in the Scriptures" (winged disk).
All this is a little bit too suspicious to ignore.
If I come up with any more quotes I'll let you know. Later "Watchtower" covers depicting a tower on a wall is a pagan symbolism associated with Artemis and likely indicates continued, though more subtle influence, of mystery cult infiltration within the organization. See below.
