Perhaps I’m wrong, (I can’t see your body language), but you come across as the writer of a half-@$$ apology. It reminds me of one of my arguments with a coworker who was a mainstream Christian, just a few years ago. I promised him to prove from the Bible that Jesus is Michael the Archangel. When I failed miserably, even after cheating by looking into my Reasoning book, I walked away “apologizing” for my inadequate response, but never for being a jerk. I had made my challenge with an I-know-better-than-you attitude that stunk all the way up to heaven.
Anyway, all of us have been in a place similar to where you are right now. Even the best rational thinkers on this board were Watchtower lap dogs for years. So don’t feel bad for the confrontational tone of our responses. You are just a mirror.
