I believe the GB member was merely mentioning the fact that these sortof rumours exist and was asking : "Do you really want me to prove my credentials by confirming the voracity of, for example, Rumour A?".
Really Rick, I believe you are reading to much into this, like a newspaper reported who might latch on to one thing a person says and the focus of the total message is lost.
Let's not get sidetracked here -> There is a lot to learn if this brother is who he says he is and IF he stays online (which we should be doing are darndest to help him do, by preventing petty speculations and wild accusations).
