Are you saying that Jesus was playing a sick joke on the demons? Does that deal with the original poster's complaint? Would demons even care about the prejudices against pork that the Jews got from the Law? Isn't that even more proof that the story, being suffused with Jewish cultural prejudices, is nothing more than a myth?
Let's expand on this a bit: someone once complained, "As flies to wanton boys are we to the gods; they kill us for their sport." Do you feel that it's acceptable for "gods" to kill humans or animals for "sport"? How about to prove a point?
