Bibleman,
Thank you so much for answering. You have made it all a bit clearer. Yes, I left a while ago but before I faded out I knew in my heart things were not right for a number of years. I used to be able to ask questions and got answers but from about 10 years ago or so things have gone down hill and when I asked anything with depth to it I was hushed up. Many of the Elders and Servants wished that I would have disapeared. Of course having very little faith in myself and having low self-esteme I chalked it up to having a problem in myself, not having enough faith and not doing enough in the Congregation etc. But eventually I followed my heart and started researching and came to the conclusion that not only the JW's were wrong but religion in general was wrong.
My problem is that due to the extreme emotional upheaval that I have endured through all this I find it hard to study the Bible and to pray. I feel something is greatly missing but I can't seem to move forward.
Question on your comment: "The REASON
it was allowed to remain was because sheep had already begun to associate with this organization."
Are there any "sheep" associating with any other faiths? Where else might they be found?
Also:
"So Jehovah allowed it to serve it's purpose throughout the "covenant period" which ended in 1996."
Please explain the "covenant period." What is the significance of 1996?
And are the secretly gathered annointed ones aware of who they are and of each other?
What of the ones that feel that they are part of the annointed ones through the WTBTS?
What is JIOR?
Thanks for your consideration of these matters. I really am full of questions.
