:The point that most dont realize is that members of the writing staff dont have the resources to investigate every single background of every single translator or author. Some research can be conducted, but no exhaustive research can be made.

This is the gist of your argument. As such it shows the Writing Staff to be incapable of verifying the reliability of a Bible translation which support the VERY unique translation of John 1:1 by the WTS, a translation which is critical for the WTS to have, because without it, their argument against a trinity is considerably weakened.

If they don't have the time to check out the background of a Bible translation they put in the "spirit-directed" Watchtower magazine which supports their unique translation of John 1:1 then what in-the-hell right to they have to put it in print and expose their believing members to ridicule from those who know about Greber and his background.

I'm not sure which is worse, Adam: deliberate lying, or gross incompetence.

Either way, and even though the Greber thing is low on the totem pole of WTS errors, it again shows that the WTS is no more inspired than you or me.
