I was that "ridiculer and mocker" notbraindead was referring to. And your point above is exactly what I stated. Notbraindead created a false dilemma and then attacks it.
Had Jesus had those kinds of powers, he could have easily avoided sending those pesky demons into a herd of swine and just nuked 'em. There there would have been no need for this discussion in the first place, and virtually no possibility of an innocent bystander having to suffer financially.
