We spent several sundays studying the Watchtower articles that showed how "rotation" brought us into greater harmony with divine theocratic organization.
When rotation was abandoned it barely made an anouncement in the Kingdom Ministry. A letter was read instructing the local elders to select a permanent presiding overseer. That was it. No Watchtower explanation.
I personally have no problem with a hierchical structure in organizations. Hierarchy doesn't have to be authoritarian. It's the authoritarian attitude that is inherent in religious organizations that turns me off. You start with God. Next you have those God speaks to directly. Then you have the various people who pass God's supposed instructions down to the teaming masses at the bottom. That's why I think reform is impossible unless you throw God out with the bath water. The alternative is to substitute one authoritarian structure for another.
If God can't speak in an unambiguous straight forward manner to his "beloved creation" then it's the same as if he doesn't exist. I'll stay tuned. My scanner is operating all the time. If I pick up on a truly divine signal accompanied by some kind of miraculous manifestation I'm all ears and ready to obey.
