Most of that stuff is boring, yes. And it is a fact that people are used. On the other hand, thousands of people do this stuff by their own free will - for great paychecks. You have to remember that some people actually make a good living of this stuff. And makes so much money that none of us will ever have the chanse of matching it :)
In this case it was just someone that wanted to meet people - it had nothing what so ever to do with the porn industry....
I think the elitism they promote makes me sicker than anything else.
Well. Much can be said about this elitism. And I guess Gobbels and Hitler said most of it 50 years ago!
When I first heard of the term "prominent brother" I was a bit confused.
50 years ago such people were said to be high ranking party members....
I always wondered why they had millionare brothers who were still working full time give assembly talks and then told young people who could not even make a living to quit school and pioneer.
It's the old story. Do as I say - not what I do myself. Double standards. And - being among the very few people that actually do have a lot of money, makes them feel even more special than they would do in "the world". Remember, it's so few of them - and they are the real Jet-Set!
They enjoy getting "sunburned" in the glory of envy from the graduates from the windowcleaner university in Crooklyn.
When "publishers" face death they say "trust Jehovah". When they face a monetary loss they call their lawyers and change policies.
That's the same all over the world. The Top Brass never "trust Jehovah". They know that is utter stupid, and absolutely no use. They KNOW the only way to get what they want is to use lawyers etc.
Think what would happen if the rank and file JWs went to the police, or to lawyers, to fight their rights when they or their children were abused by someone inside the unholy organization? The Watchtower would loose billions of dollars, because of theire actions in medical questions allone! Not to talk about all the cases of child abuse, never reported to the police.
Everybody has different styles and maybe we can all help. I'm sure the WTS can think of a way to misrepresent every one of us.
That's the fact. Ther is no "One size fits all" - and our experiences from inside the shakin' tower tells us that. The good thing, naturally, is to change style all the time. The idea is that your "enemy" (let's use Watchtower terms here) should never know what to expect. When he expects fire, meet him with love. When he expects understandments, slap him in the face :)))
I withdraw my critique of you but leave my opinion of pornography, which I guess is not particularly different from yours.
I really don't think it's THAT different. The difference is, I gusee, that I do accnowledge the fact that many people is in the industry of their own free will - and they do a lot of money. I am a guy that really mean that people should be allowed to do what they want. And that goes for the people that want to make sex on film too.
As for the whit slavetrade, or black or yellow for that matter, we agree completely. Give me free rounds, and one dollar a head - and I will shoot down the guys responsible without any hesitation at all. As I would with the top brass in the Watchtower!
