Tribute to my friend...
Marquis Murray
On Death

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of birds circling in flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there.
I do not sleep.

Death is simply a shedding of the physical body, like the butterfly coming out of a cocoon.  It is a transition into a higher state of consciousness, where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, to be able to grow, and the only thing you lose is something that you don't need anymore...your physical body.  It's like putting away your winter coat when spring comes.

I know that these words won't make him come back to us but, it makes coping a little easier.  Marquis was a very special person.  I thank God that he touched my life even though it was just briefly.  Even so, I got to know what a angel he truely was.

Knowing Marquis I know he wouldn't want anyone to cry or be sad about this so, please remember his smile.  The smile that could light a thousand cities as the sun does shine.  Be happy that he was a wonderful being with so much love to give that you couldn't help but love him too.

With Love,

Nicole
