A Work In Progress . . . - Released February 2003

A Work In Progress . . .
is a full-length original jazz CD that craftily blends the laid-back style of Miles Davis with the slightly more mainstream and innovative progressions of Robert Lamm.  Through 55 minutes and 12 tracks, including a multi-movement jazz suite sandwiched in the middle, James brings the listener a taste of what is to come for this young composer, trumpet player, and keyboardist.  From the tuning A to begin "Sharp Eleven" to "Fifth Avenue on Monday", the 7/4 closer, James hits a variety of styles and shows influence from many sources.

East Carson Sessions - Released January 2005

East Carson Sessions is James's second studio project, employing the help of aspiring musicians from Duquesne University on the fresh original cuts and interesting takes on a couple familiar tunes.  According to BIll Purse, chair of music technology at Duquesne University, "James is a multi-talented triple threat composer, performer, and singer who is passionately dedicated to jazz and becoming a national recording artist.  I feel this CD is a wonderful prelude for many great compostions and recorded performances and know you will hear the promise this recording offers.  Bravo James!"
