Assistant Lead Trumpet

Dave hails from Takoma Park, Maryland.  He holds a Ph.D. in Geology and  is a Senior Research Scientist/Geochemist at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio.  Doctor Dave has been plugging away at the trumpet for over 30 years now.  While pursuing  undergraduate degrees in Music and Geology, Dave joined the marching band.  It seemed natural enough.  But that's where he found the love of his life Kristy, who is also an accomplished trumpet player (in fact, she's a third generation trumpet player!).  Dave and Kristy Turner generate more trumpet energy than any family in San Antonio!  They are now the proud parents of a 14 month old son Austin, who is already getting suggestions and encouragement to carry on the family tradition.  Someday maybe he'll play great great grandpa's horn!  With his genes, he'll be spectacular!
