The Path of Jewish Mysticism

The Tree of Life is a map of the human body, the human psyche, and the universe. Each point on the tree is a sefirot, and each has unique qualities which reflect the qualities inherent in humans and in the rest of nature.

The Sefirot are, in descending order:

Keter: White, Crown
Hokhmah: Silver, Wisdom
Binah: Black, Understanding
Daat: (not shown): Knowledge
Hesed:Blue: Mercy
Gevurah: Red: Judgement
Tiferet: Yellow: Beauty
Nezah: Green: Eternity
Hod: Gold: Reverberation
Yesod:Pink: Foundation
Malkhut: Multicoloured: Kingdom

The right column is the active column, or the male column, and the left column is the passive, or female, side. The central column is therefore the column of equilibrium, and Tiferet is the sefirot of balance, being right in the center.
