LETS DEFEATS THE CONSPIRACY OF REMOVING THE ELECTION COMMISSIONER

Now it is showing the signs that the forthcoming election will be the worst fearful election in Sri Lankan history. Due the fear of loosing the election and the inevitable win of the JVP and the presence of JVP parliamentarian in the next parliament, People's Alliance is now planning to rob the votes and rig the election. PA is loosing the support of people even after the process of spreading mud against opposition parties and killing opposition party members. Therefore the government is now acting more violently and brutally. PA, which shamelessly active to rig the votes now selected the Election Commissioner as their new target. The well experienced election commissioner who experienced previous attempts of fraud ballet papers in previous election decided to introduce new sticker to paste on ballet papers. This action was taken after the request of all parties to take action to held free and fair election by opposition parties and civil organizations. But, PA used police to interrupt the election commissioner's effort and then accused election commissioner. Now, PA has begun to launch a conspiracy to remove the commissioner from his seat. PA is planning to file a case against the commissioner and plan to remove the commissioner with the assistance of their supporters within the law field. They are planning to appoint their pawn as election commissioner after removing the current commissioner. We strongly condemn the PA plan to rigging people's vote and robbing the election at broad daylight without any shame. We appeal all the people, all the political parties, all humanitarian organizations, monitoring organizations and justice abide people to join hand to protect the election commissioner who is bravely and independently trying to held free and fair election.

AJITH KUMARA IS NOT A JVP MEMBER

Mr. Ajith Kumara, who will be playing a role of a puppet of Peoples Alliance, is not a current member of JVP. He was expelled from the party about a month earlier. JVP had officially informed to the election commissioner by a letter-dated 20.08.2000 about this decision. Due to his anti disciplinary activities and various kinds of malpractices Mr. Ajith Kumara was expelled from the party and he was expelled from Sabaragamuwa provincial council membership on March 2000. He is not included in any of JVP nomination list and we hereby inform that JVP will not take any responsible of persons who have dismissed from the party.
