1. Why did you stay on the team to the end?
I stayed until the end because you are my men. This is where I am supposed to be.

2. Name some Bandits you were inspired by, or are indebted to.
I am im indebted to every man on the team, for various things, but, I learned from every one of them.

3. How will you want what we did here to be remembered?
Be remembered? That's not the point. The point is to do our mission. We did our mission.

4. Have you changed or grown in the last year?
Yes. I'm a year older, and I have formed some definite ideas about the duties and responsibilities of a Sergeant Major, and how I will conduct myself as such.

5. What will you miss?
The times that I could interact privately, one-on-one with my men.

6. What will you NOT miss?
The chaotic way we were led.

7. What will you do now?
Go home and build a good marriage, raise our kids straight, and probably get out of the GS system. I've had it with bureaucracy.

8. What would you like to give every child in Iraq? A glass unicorn? Or what....
A copy of the Constitution that they can read, and the Holy Bible. They desperately need both.

9. What is it in your job/s (gunner, driver, TC, mech- etc-) that those in other jobs didn't understand or appreciate?
Walk a mile in the shoes....

10. If the COSCOM had a rubber-ranger-raft assault team (who knows why), would you volunteer? Who should be on it and what would the first mission be like?
Yes. But I probably would get thrown off for being physically sub-par. Volunteers ONLY. And there should be a selection process.

11. Name a Rip-it Dare for Claunch. (e.g., he gets a Rip-it for asking the CSM if he wants to go fishing after the war). (he really did this...)
No Rip-it or pop for a month. And speak at less than 100 words per minute....

12. Tell me a story. Or two.
My first mission. Night, watching the CSM direct traffic down the median outside of Taji, then going through downtown Baghdad, doing a Chinese fire drill, MTS and maps don't match, and BN sending me messages every 2 minutes.

Listening to Slinger rant for hours before each mission.

Telling Larson to shut up.

Listening to Will sing as we went out the gate.

SSG Scales, "I'm just askin."

Sergeant Major, "Welcome to the world of communications"

13. Is it hard to think that this mission is over? Are you coming back for more?
Is the mission over?
