| There we had an amazing view of the valley beneath us. We stayed there for a few minutes to look at the scenery and also to drink a bit, because drinking is very important when you do a hike like this. Especially when it is so hot as it is now. You don't want to loose to much energy. After that first fall we moved on up the mountain. Now we were almost everywhere surrounded by trees, so we couldn't see much else but trees and rocks, a lot of rocks. We steadily went up the trail and reached another waterfall. Halfway to the top of this fall we stopped to eat a little snack and drink some more water or something else refreshing. Then we hiked towards the top of the fall. On the way up we saw a lot of people coming down with a full gear of tents and sleeping bags. These were the people who stayed overnight halfway the trail, so that they could hike this mountain for two days and take their time doing it. After the fall the trail went suprisingly down. And the surface also changed from hard and rocky bottoms to sand bottoms. We had to hike about an hour through the sand, but halfway we had a very nice view of the ultimate top of the mountain. We couldn't believe we had still such a lot of height to conquer. After a while the trail went back upwards. The surface changed again, this time just to dirt and dust and loose treestuff. From this point on the trail made a lot of U-turns upwards. It was quite strange to see other people just above you on the same trail as you, but you had to cover a lot of ground to catch them up. |
