Tragedy : Being in love with someone who's perfect, yet unable to be with you because of outside reasons.
I had a house once. And a car I was planning to learn how to drive. I had a very decent life, I went to work almost every day, played shows at The House of Blues and Jillians by myself here in Vegas, and talked only to the few friends I had. The time unspent was used pursuing video games and other forms of celluloid distraction.
Then God, or so it would seem, struck a revelation in me. Civilization is crumbling, despite what your television tells you, or what your parents would have you believe. The world is dying. It's a slow, inviolent process, but something has to be done about it. And soon.
So, much to the dismay of those that were close to me, I dropped everything. I quit my job, ran from my bills, allowed my name to be swallowed in the depths of poverty and paperwork. I surfaced again on the other side of town, struggling each day to make it, learning how it feels to be in the very worst position. It wasn't until a concert on June 15th that I returned to the world and began my ascension. And now I'm learning to make something from scratch. Teaching myself to instill hope and build upon it. I've met the realization that it only takes a spark, just a small spark, to turn the world aflame.
And now here I am. Eighteen, honors diploma, building up a great band and following, letting the slow process of society come to me, and instead diving artistically into the depths of love and music.
This is who I am. There are several people that hate it, and others that admire it. But I am me, and not a soul, nor honest opinion has ever -- nor will ever -- have the power to change that.
My friends make up the entirety of my life, and I hold true to all of them. I don't believe in the ties of blood to make a family one. I believe that friendship is one of the very few real bonds left in the world.
I offer respect to no one. I believe it's an attribute to be earned, not granted. I do, however, trust everyone until proven otherwise. Don't ever believe the gossip you'll hear about me, nor of anyone else. It's foolish to take advice and never to know first hand. Even where death is concerned.
Religion
I have a very different view on religion than most would think, and I am ridiculed for it by those who are obsessive about buying their way into heaven, so to speak.
I am a fan of anyone who believes in anything, and the church takes care of people (I was raised Christian) but I don't like what policy people have placed upon it nowadays. People are so enthralled by what they'll do in heaven when they're dead that they forget there are living breathing people in the world who need someone to fight for them. Who need a good, decent wage. It's kind of horrible. There are things in this world that need to be fixed and done about now, and that's what I live for. That's what I live to accomplish. Through the sacrifice of one person, six billion can be saved. At least, that's my belief.
But don't get me wrong, if you're a dedicated Christian or Catholic, or whatever denomination you hail, I support you. As long as you're firm with your beliefs, I'm sure you'll succeed to whatever ends you envision. Just don't force upon me with your beliefs, I've been heavily lectured in every possible religion, and I know what my sin entails. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
