THUNDERCATS
Thundercats was the daddy. It was just great to watch. The basic storyline was that the Thundercats were forced to leave their home planet of Thundera and move to Earth.
The original Thundercats were: JAGA, LION-O, PANTHRO, CHEETARA, TYGRA, WILYKIT, WILYKAT and not forgetting SNARRF.
Meanwhile the mutants were close behind the cats, trying to claim the eye of thundera which was part of the sword of omens that Lion-O possessed. The mutants ended up being trapped on Earth with the Thundercats and therefore teamed up with Mumm-ra the evil mummy whose only weakness was his own reflection. There were many episodes which introduced new Thundercats and native races of Earth. The sword was cool and Lion-O could use it to see his fellow Thundercats in trouble or use it to power up and aide him in battle.
TRANSFORMERS
Transformers were also top notch. They were robots who could transform into many cool objects or vehicles. The storyline was the classic tale of good versus evil as the Autobots battled to keep peace against the evil Decepticons. The Autobots were led by OPTIMUS PRIME and the other main good guys were: HOTROD, ULTRA MAGNUS, JAZZ, the DINOBOTS and many more including a few humans. The Decepticons were led by MEGATRON and he was backed up by the likes of STARSCREAM and SOUNDWAVE to name a few.
I remember the movie the most which also included a new enemy: a huge robot eating trasformer planet named Unicron who looked indestructable until Hotrod used the matrix of power to destroy it. The movie was great with great scenes such as the death of Optimus Prime and Megatrons' transformation into Galvatron.
