Caught this movie in June 02... If it's still running in the cinemas and you haven't watch it, grab a fren to do so!! Hehe... one of the best horror flicks of the year. Starring some Japenese actresses whose names I dun know...but who cares? Go for the plot dude...and go for the scare. It's typical Jap horror movie in the sense that the director uses loads of sounds and camera angles to build up the atmosphere. Awesome.
The story kicks off when a little girl went missing during a rain storm a few years ago, last seen wearing a yellow rain coat and carrying a little red bag... (think yaomin will kill me if I continue....hee.. gotta send her to her doorsteps after telling her only parts of the story. Dun think she went to watch it after that.) Years later, a mother-daughter pair moved into a 2nd hand apartment in a flat...(and they never question why it's vacant for years??) The weather's almost raining everyday...duh, As expected, things starting happening and the plot begins to build up. The mysterious patch of water on the ceiling grows bigger everyday. Daughter picks up little red bag...daughter sees things...daughter falls sick...mom gets worried...
The movie peaks as it moves towards the end...when they found out that the missing girl actually stayed at the unit above (which is now empty)!! So the truth is out. The missing girl is not missing, but dead. Fell into the water tank located on the roof on the flat. Hair starts coming out from tap water... tap mysteriously ons by itself and dark water fills the bath tub... water in bath tub starts bubbling... dead girls hands (o..the hands are gross. Dirty green/brown membrane) come out to pull daughter in. Mom rushes in, saves daughter, rushes into elevator, door won't close...
What happens later? You gotta catch it yourself...hee.. Dun think it's scary? The scratch marks on my right arm left by the person sitting next to me tells it all. Ha... Pucca, game for another horror movie? =) |
