Jealousy

I see the look on your face
I see the look on hers
I think back of our own
and realise I fall short

I can't bring about that radiant smile
Not the interest and attention
The small sighs I remember
Possibly regret

I remembered your words
Your past interest
It suddenly became clear
Who you should be with

Yet I refuse
Did not want to believe
The green tide boils over
I sulk and see red

My exterior cool
Betrays my inner passions
I want to express yet I'm afraid
Of looking stupid, of not trusting

Yet you never profess, never commit
Am I too brash in my confessions?
I feel a fool
I hide it in indifference and anger
But truth is: I love and am jealous.
